This is great because the first two panels are basically what really actually happens when dogs are play-fighting! If you watch dogs play-fight, you’ll see that periodically, one dog or the other will freeze in place for a few seconds (”Wait!”). By mirroring the freeze, rather than taking advantage to attack, the other dog answers the question (”Are you playing or fighting?”) with “Yep, we’re playing, no worries!”
